Liv was very concerned about sexual health and equity. She was worried that students may not have access to Plan B because they can’t travel to a pharmacy on time, can’t afford it, or are denied service.

She proposed to the student senate at the university that the university would provide emergency funds for those who need Plan B. She wrote a very detailed, polished, and persuasive Proposal that she presented to them. To prepare, she met with the director of the Center for Gender Equity and one of the TAs, who was extremely helpful.

The Student Senate agreed to fund the project! The next steps are to work out the logistics of making this project sustainable for the coming years, and details such as how Plan B would be distributed.
