An Ethiopian student focused on the Ethiopian community in Minnesota and the desire to help Ethiopian children living in the United States to maintain their cultural identity and a connection to their community. His project was based upon teaching Ethiopian children in the United States about Ethiopian customs, traditions, and how to speak and write in their native language of Amharic. Continue reading

This project focused on improving organization within the student’s workplace in order to increase productivity and efficiency. The student began by designing an organizational system that made it easier for all of their coworkers to find tools and supplies in a timely manner. Continue reading

The Animal Ethics Club, now in its 6th year of operation, started as a civic engagement project. Four students created the club, organized work parties at a local farm sanctuary and a clinic for homeless people and their animals, educated students about vegetarian and vegan food, served free vegan food, and raised money for local animal groups.
